Wider Curricular activities

All pupils are encouraged to take an active role in school life.  Participating in clubs and activities not only fosters teamwork and builds friendships—it also offers a wonderful chance to experience the full richness of our Christian community. These opportunities help us to nurture the development of the whole child—body, mind, and spirit—and form an integral part of our provision for personal and spiritual growth.

Our wider curricular activities are run on a voluntary basis by dedicated staff members. The days these take place may vary, sometimes weekly, so pupils should listen carefully to announcements from their tutors regarding any changes or cancellations. For the most up-to-date details, they are encouraged to speak directly with the member of staff coordinating the activity.

The PE department offers a variety of seasonal sporting activities. Practice times are posted weekly on the PE noticeboard, as well as shared with parents and carers via Synergy every Friday afternoon. Because fixtures and matches can affect schedules, pupils should regularly check for updates.

Please note that club availability is at the discretion of staff and may occasionally be cancelled. In such cases, teachers will advise pupils on how best to inform their parents or carers, if needed.

Throughout the year, a diverse selection of clubs is available to pupils at St Michael’s. These are generally open to all pupils, unless otherwise specified, with some tailored specifically for particular year groups.
