Vision Statement - Growing in Body, Mind and Spirit.
Our vision is rooted in the belief that every individual is created and loved by God. We are committed to nurturing the whole person—body, mind and spirit—so that all may experience the joy and hope of “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10).
We aim to help each pupil become the person God intends them to be, flourishing in a community where excellence, high aspirations, and care for one another are the norm.
Body
We prioritise the safety, health, and well-being of every child, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Every child matters at St Michael’s, and we want them to know that they matter—this is central to the way we care for and support each individual.
Mind
We foster a love of learning through high expectations, creativity, and enthusiasm, creating an environment where pupils are inspired to achieve their best.
Spirit
Spiritual growth is central to our life together. Through prayer, worship, reflection, and creative expression, we nurture personal and spiritual development for all, wherever they are on their faith journey.
Biblical Foundations
Life in All Its Fullness – John 10:10
Jesus, the Good Shepherd, offers abundant life. We support this through worship, RE, the arts, and our focus on personal and spiritual development, inspired by the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).
“Therefore Choose” – Deuteronomy 30:19
We encourage wise, positive and meaningful choices, rooted in Christian teaching. Pupils learn that their decisions shape their lives and the lives of others.
St Michael’s Story – Revelation 12:7–9
Year 7 pupils explore this story, reflecting on how to stand against injustice and make a positive difference in the world.
Mission Statement
As a vibrant learning community, we choose to serve God, pursue excellence, and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual.
- A Vibrant, outward-facing community
Inspired by the early Church (Acts 2:42–47), we live out Christian values while welcoming those of all faiths and none. Worship is invitational, and dialogue is encouraged. We look beyond ourselves, engaging with local, national, and global communities.
- Serving God through courageous advocacy
Following Jesus’ example of servant leadership, we act with compassion and speak out for justice. Pupils are encouraged to become courageous advocates—championing causes that matter to them and working for the common good.
- Pursuing excellence
We strive to do our best in all things, stewarding our God-given talents (Colossians 3:23; Matthew 25:14–30).
- Celebrating uniqueness
Every person is made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26–27) and is deeply valued. We honour this through our relationships and inclusive practices.
Foundation Statement
Our school is built on Christ, the true foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11). As we grow, we are reminded to build with care, guided by His teachings and love.
