Partnership working

At St Michael’s, we are outward facing, working to build strong partnerships with families, churches, local organisations, and the wider community. These relationships enrich our lives, providing opportunities for growth, not only for pupils, but for all involved.

Our collaborative efforts span a rich and diverse range of areas—including curriculum development, enrichment programmes, and meaningful community engagement. We actively share best practices with schools and colleges, take part in both local and national initiatives, and welcome external specialists to enrich our pupils’ learning experiences.  Strong partnerships with local churches, primary schools, and organisations such as Chorley SSP, Chorley Youth Council, and various universities broaden horizons and nurture a culture of shared learning and mutual support.

Outside the classroom, we are deeply committed to fostering social responsibility and community spirit. Pupils engage in enrichment activities with local care homes and special schools, contribute to events like Chorley in Bloom, and support charitable causes such as the Zambia Appeal.  Celebrations like our Christmas and summer community parties bring everyone together, echoing our belief that education thrives when rooted in strong, supportive relationships.

We are always looking to connect with our local and wider community.  To discover a faith-filled school that nurtures the whole child, developing confidence and character, whilst remaining highly aspirational for academic success, I warmly invite you to visit us and experience the life and ethos of St Michael’s for yourself.
