Reflection 1 – Hope

Good morning; may the Lord be with you.

-What do you hope for?

In Hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 we read,

‘Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. .’

God offers us amazing hope to living life to the full NOW, and eternal life in the future, through Jesus and what the Bible reminds us he has done for us on the Cross.

-How could this affect what you are hoping for?

Prayer 1

Let us pray,

Lord God,

Thank you that for anyone who is facing struggles or hardship at the moment, there is hope.

Give us all the strength we need to cope and to be content and help us never lose sight of the awesome hope you offer. Amen

Reflection 2 – Hope

Good morning; may the Lord be with you.

Life can be tough, and sometimes things can seem a real struggle. For many, things can often appear quite hope-less at times.

In James chapter 1, verse 25 we read,

‘But the truly blessed are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be blessed.’

The Bible reminds us that if we keep trusting in, learning about, and following Jesus, there are fantastic rewards available. There is real hope!

What difference could this hope make to your life?

Let us pray,

Heavenly Father,

Thank you that there is hope and help us to never lose sight of that in the struggles of life. Help us where we need it to keep going both in our studies and in our walk with you! Give us strength when we feel like giving up, encourage us where we struggle and help us to keep trusting in you. Amen.

Reflection 3 – Hope

-How do you cope when life is tough?

Different people manage difficulties in very different ways. Billions of people around the world find hope in Jesus and through that hope are inspired to live life to the fullest. In Philippians 4, verses 12-13, the apostle Paul writes,

‘I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.’

-It’s easy to blame God for our struggles, but how could you learn from the apostle Paul and billions of other followers of Jesus and find hope?

-Perhaps pray today for some help and hope with struggles that you are facing.

Prayer 3

Let us pray,

Father God,

Help all those people who are scared, worried and struggling to have hope. Even in seemingly impossible situations, give us the strength to keep going and to be positive even when things are tough. Help us to remember the hope you give us both for now and the future. Amen.
